the time has come for me to address the elephant in the room and what it means for TLP. I thought I wouldn't add more content for everyone to read about COVID-19 because it is literally being thrown at us from every angle (rightly so of course, its best to stay informed). I also might have been living under a rock because I just kept thinking it would be over in a week or two and we would just kick on so there was no need to even worry about addressing it with TLP.
The reality is really starting to sink in now though....
Im really disappointed and disheartened. I am feeling so much for my clients who had my books filled over the next few months, who will now miss out. They don't deserve that. Obviously I am very passionate about people getting professional photos to mark fleeting moments in time, and now, my clients will miss out for the meantime. Again, I do believe this is totally necessary, but it is also ok to be sad.
My business was absolutely booming, to the point where I had to pop the breaks on it for a hot minute there while I improved some procedures, to ensure I could keep up with the growing workload.
Whilst I cant continue with my family/newborn/wedding/etc shoots currently, there are a few things I can help with:
1. if you are booked in for a newborn session with me in the next few months - I can help you with a few tips and tricks for taking your own photos of your newborns. From there, I will happily also edit those images you take.
2. as always, I am still selling prints. We can organise a contactless pickup/drop off service - so feel free to get in touch @ tashleachphotography@outlook.com
3. for small businesses trying to keep themselves current in these trying times - I can help create content for your Instagram during this down time. If you would like more information, please let me know.
4. I am going to be rolling out a whole heap of blogs in the next little while so please stay tuned.
I am also going to be using this time to make sure I don't become complacent with my photography - so I will be undertaking a few online short courses.
Lastly, I read a meme that said something along the lines of "covid-19 has taught us that if it is going to get us all, we will just keep meming about it until the last second" so here are some of my favourites....
